Use Story and matching quests for early levels. Try Infinite once you can survive its waves and keep dealing damage. At levels 25 and 50, redeem any codes you have just unlocked.

From your first run to Infinite
These are milestones, not required levels for individual maps. Your weapon upgrades can matter more than account level when deciding whether to raise the difficulty.
| Stage | Run or reward | When to move on |
|---|---|---|
| First runs | Repeat a Story act with your equipped pair. | You finish without narrowly surviving every fight. |
| Easy Story clears | Try the next difficulty. | Its extra XP is worth the longer run. |
| Level 25 | Redeem codes with a level-25 requirement. | Claim the rewards before returning to your route. |
| Upgraded main weapon | Try Infinite alongside your usual Story act. | You stay alive and deal damage through the waves. |
| Level 50 | Redeem level-50 codes and prepare for raids. | You can finish difficult encounters without repeated deaths. |
Count XP over the whole session
Time the run from joining until you are ready to enter again. Include loading, party waits, deaths, and rebuilding the lobby.
For example, 1,200 XP in six minutes is 200 XP per minute. A run worth 1,600 XP in ten minutes is only 160 XP per minute. These are example numbers, not Anime Zero payouts; use the XP on your result screen for your own route. A slower act may still be worth running if it also drops a material you need.
Stay active through Infinite waves
Infinite gives rewards as waves finish. Be there for the wave, deal damage, and survive to its end. Joining a party and standing idle is not a dependable way to earn those rewards.
Lower the difficulty if each wave takes too long or regularly kills you. A fresh Story run may give more XP in the time you spend struggling through the later waves.
Before you start farming XP
Use the AFK chamber for passive resources while you are away. For active leveling, return to Story or Infinite.
- Pick daily and weekly objectives that match the mode you plan to run.
- Spend your main weapon's Skill Tokens and equip any useful accessories in your inventory.
- Stick with the same main for a few runs so you can see how quickly it clears.
- Claim completed quests and any newly unlocked codes before you leave.
Frequently asked questions
Is Nightmare always the fastest way to level?+
No. Use the difficulty that gives you the most completed XP for your time. Deaths and long boss fights can wipe out the benefit of a larger payout.
Why do levels 25 and 50 matter?+
Some codes require those levels. Look through the current codes list when you reach either milestone.
Can I get Infinite rewards while idle?+
Do not count on it. You need to participate and survive the wave.
Should I switch weapons to level faster?+
A new weapon may need Skill Tree and evolution upgrades before it clears faster. Keep using your current main while the replacement catches up.
